2020 plans for the blog

With Christmas almost upon us, I have decided to set out a few objectives for this blog over the coming year. Nothing major, but something to look back on at the end of 2020 and give myself motivation to keep progressing this site.

  1. Monthly Freetrade diary

I will be writing a monthly report on any activity within my Freetrade account (updating my portfolio tab accordingly), whether that’s buying, selling or any dividend payments. I will also be explaining my reasoning behind any changes I make to my portfolio.

  1. Average 4 posts a month

I don’t want to feel like I’m forcing myself to make new posts so have decided I want to average 4 posts a month rather than setting a specific amount. If I don’t feel like writing anything one week, I can simply make up the average the next week; if I have a particularly inspired month, I can afford the next month to be a little more relaxed.

  1. Finish my project posts

I have a number of posts I am yet to really get my teeth into that involve quite a bit of primary research. I have the plan for these sorted but am yet to set aside some time to develop them into anything of substance. The one I am quite excited about looks at how video games can play an incredibly cheap entertainment alternative to other forms such as the cinema or bowling. Stay tuned.

  1. Attend a FIRE meet-up

Maybe not directly related to the blog, but I’d like to attend a FIRE meet-up to broaden my knowledge and meet others in the community. Whether that’s the London meet from the Facebook group, or the one organised by Weenie at Quietly Saving in Manchester. I look forward to meeting some of you at one of these.

  1. Hi AMM

Great plan, looking forward to reading about your monthly Freetrade diary.

There’s a Manchester FIRE meet up likely to be in February, so perhaps this is something to consider.

Anyway, wishing you a great Christmas and all the best for the new year.

PS – hope you enjoy the new Star Wars film 🙂

    1. Hi Weenie! Thank you, I thought a mini plan would be good to keep me on track!

I’ll definitely be considering that Feb meet-up. I’m right down south, but have family in Manchester so it’s definitely not something unfeasible 🙂

Happy Christmas to you too!!! Hopefully the new Star Wars film is more in line with The Force Awakens and not The Last Jedi 🙂
